About Myself
OBJECTIVE:
Supporting clients in the following roles:
- Conference and scientific interpreter
- Medical interpreter and foreign patient coordinator
- Mental nutritionist
- English language trainer
EDUCATION:
I graduated from the University of Silesia in Katowice in 2009 with a Master’s degree in English Philology, specializing in English language teaching and linguistics. I later pursued postgraduate studies in conference interpreting, focusing on medical, legal, and technical interpreting. This training took place at the LEGIS College of Certified Translators and Interpreters in Rybnik (2013) and the Translation Studies Centre in Sosnowiec (2014 and 2017).
Medicine has always been a passion of mine, which led me to study Mental Nutrition at SWPS University in Katowice, Poland, where I became a specialist in this field in 2024.
TRAININGS:
I have participated in numerous additional training courses, including those organized by the Freeling Foundation—Translators for Translators—covering topics such as contract law, litigious and non-litigious proceedings, clinical trials, medical records, pharmacy, ophthalmology, veterinary medicine, and audiovisual translation.
I also completed RODO training for translators, organized by the Świgonska Law Firm, to ensure the highest level of information security for my clients.
WORK EXPERIENCE:
Conference and Scientific Interpreter:
I have been working with translation agencies and private clients since 2014, providing simultaneous and consecutive interpreting services at conferences and congresses. Feel free to review examples of past events.
Since 2014, I have also worked as a scientific translator with hospitals (e.g., the Institute of Oncology) and universities (e.g., the Silesian University of Technology, Medical University, University of Silesia), as well as with doctors and lecturers at these institutions, translating and proofreading scientific publications. I encourage you to explore sample publications.
Medical Interpreter and Foreign Patient Coordinator:
Since 2014, I have collaborated with doctors and institutions to translate medical publications and provide interpreting services for medical conferences and consultations.
Additionally, I have been involved in an international psychiatry grant (2018-2024) under the ERA-NET NEURON initiative titled “Mapping and Interrogating Top-down Control of the Memory Engram of Post-traumatic Stress Disorder“. This included interpreting at research group meetings in Bilbao, Spain (2018), and Lisbon, Portugal (2019).
Since 2014, I have also served as a coordinator and interpreter for orthopedic and neurosurgical patients in collaboration with Eurotreatmed and the SANVIMED specialized hospital in Zabrze.
From 2016 to 2019, I had the pleasure of serving as a simultaneous and consecutive interpreter during weekly training videoconferences on Gerson therapy. These sessions included case presentations on cancer and autoimmune diseases, along with treatment protocols provided by doctors worldwide.
I have also interpreted for courses on ozone therapy and prolozone therapy, including the Ozone Certification Course and Beginning Prolozone Certification Course by Frank Shallenberger, MD, HMD, ABAAM (2017; Reno, Nevada, USA).
Mental Nutritionist:
My extensive experience in the medical field sparked an interest in mental nutrition, a discipline I pursued and completed in 2024. I apply this knowledge in my work as a medical interpreter and patient coordinator.
English Language Trainer:
Since 2009, I have been teaching conversational English, focusing on the business, medical, and legal sectors.
